START HERE · NO DESIGN EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Your first splashpage.
One step at a time.

You only need a message, a referral link and a starting design. Follow these six steps, then explore the extra tools when you need them.

Already editing? Keep your builder tab open and use this guide alongside it.

GET YOUR BEARINGS

Three places do most of the work.

Start in Simple view. You can reveal the advanced controls later with More options.

Can’t find a setting? Use Find a control and type what you need: referral link, font or snow. Select a result to reveal its control.

On smaller screens, panels may open over the canvas. Use Back to canvas when you finish editing.

01

YOUR STARTING POINT

Choose a template you like.

  1. Open Templates on the left.
  2. Browse or search the library, then choose Use template.
  3. Read the replacement confirmation if one appears before applying it.

Pick the overall look first. You can change the text, colors and sections afterwards.

Already working on a design? Applying a template replaces the current editor design. Save a browser checkpoint before experimenting. Your published page changes only when you use Save & Publish.

Prefer an empty page? Templates also includes Use blank canvas.

02

SAY ONE CLEAR THING

Make the message yours.

  1. Click the headline on the canvas to select it.
  2. Choose Edit text, or edit its content in the Properties panel.
  3. Replace the subtitle, button text and offer details in the same way.
EXAMPLE MESSAGE

A fresh start for your next campaign.

Join through my referral link. Complete the steps below to qualify for my welcome bonus.

Button: Join through my link ↗

Explain what visitors should do, any bonus conditions and how they can contact you. Remove sample claims, testimonials or numbers that don’t describe your offer.

Click once to select. If the text editor is open, finish the text edit before trying to move the item.

03

GIVE THE BUTTON A DESTINATION

Add your own referral link.

  1. In Find a control, search for referral link.
  2. Choose Affiliate URL and paste your complete referral URL, including https:// and your referral details.
  3. If useful, choose the matching Traffic Exchange. This selection is optional.

Keep the full link exactly as the exchange supplied it. The referral part is what identifies you.

Button text and destination are different. “Join now” is the label visitors see. Affiliate URL is where the page’s referral buttons send them.
04

KEEP THE FIRST VERSION SIMPLE

Adjust the look of your page.

  • Open Page settings for page colors, fonts, branding and effects.
  • Click a particular item, then use Style or Selection style for that selection.
  • Use Build to find sections and layers. Select a section before adding a new one below it.

Start with a readable headline, one main button and clear offer instructions. You can leave the advanced layout tools for later.

Remove an unwanted item → Change artwork or add snow →

05

BE YOUR FIRST VISITOR

Check desktop, tablet and mobile.

  1. Use Desktop, Tablet and Mobile above the canvas.
  2. Look for cut-off text, overlapping items, large empty spaces and buttons that are hard to read.
  3. Choose Preview to see the current edits without the editing controls. Close the preview to continue.
Preview does not publish. It shows your current canvas edits. Links are disabled in this preview, so check the real referral destination on the published page.

For custom movable objects, mobile and tablet can have their own layout adjustments. Check the other sizes after moving or resizing one.

06

MAKE IT READY TO SHARE

Publish, then check the public page.

  1. Review Ready to publish? in Properties. Complete the missing essentials, including your headline and Affiliate URL.
  2. Choose Save & Publish and wait for the result. If an error appears, fix it before leaving the builder.
  3. Open My pages, find the page, then use View. When available in the editor, View published opens the saved public version.
  4. Check the headline, offer, mobile layout and referral button on the public page. Then copy its page link to share.
Save checkpoint

A recovery copy in this browser. It is not published and does not follow you to another device.

Save & Publish

Saves your page to your account and updates the published page when the save succeeds.

A browser backup or checkpoint is not proof that the page is published. Confirm it using My pages and the public View link.

MAKE THE TEMPLATE YOUR OWN

Remove, hide or move an item.

Remove premade text or a button

Select the item, then choose Remove item. You can also use Premade elements in the selected section’s Properties. Use Undo to reverse the last change.

Move a premade item freely

Select it and choose Make movable. It becomes an editable object you can drag. Restore original brings back the original template item, including its original content.

Hide or remove a custom object

Select the object, then choose Hide or Remove. Layers can help you select something that is difficult to click.

Remove the bonus box or decorative star

In the Offer section, use the Bonus box or Star selector, then choose Hide. Or select Offer and use Offer decorations → Remove bonus text box or Remove decorative star. The bonus text can stay.

The “Built with HitsBay” system footer is locked. Its behavior differs from editable template content.

OPTIONAL FINISHING TOUCHES

Artwork, snow and rain.

Hide the template illustration

Search Find a control for premium template illustration. Turn off Show premium template illustration to use Hide Artwork. Your content remains editable.

Add a weather effect

Search for snow or rain, then open Weather effect. Choose the effect and set Effect intensity. These controls are in Page settings → Page look & effects.

Check that effects leave your text easy to read. Choose None to turn weather off.

WHEN SOMETHING DOESN’T LOOK RIGHT

A few useful answers.

I can’t find the control I need.

Use Find a control with a plain word such as “font”, “snow” or “referral link”. For an item-specific setting, select the item first. If you still need more controls, choose More options.

I can edit the words, but I can’t remove the box behind them.

A background or decoration can be separate from the text. For the Offer bonus box or star, use the decoration selectors or Offer decorations, described above. For a whole section, select the section and inspect its style controls.

The public page looks different from my editor.

Preview shows current edits; the public page shows the last successful publication. Check that Save & Publish completed, open the right page from My pages, and refresh the public page. Compare the same screen size. If a difference remains, note the template, the item and the browser when reporting it.

The referral button doesn’t open a website in Preview.

Links are deliberately disabled in the editor preview. Test the button on the published page opened through My pages → View.

I changed something by mistake.

Try Undo first. Save checkpoint opens browser recovery copies when available. Existing saved pages can also offer Version history for previous published designs. Read the confirmation before restoring or replacing a design.

Can I keep reading without losing my work?

The builder’s Tutorial link opens this guide in a separate tab. Keep your original editing tab open. Use a browser checkpoint before making large changes, and use Save & Publish when you want to update the public page.

YOUR FIRST PAGE DOESN’T NEED EVERY TOOL

A clear offer. A working link.
A page that reads well on a phone.

Get those three things right, then add the details.
